PRESS STATEMENT BY THE DIRECTOR AND CEO OF ZAMBIA QUALIFICATIONS AUTHORITY ON FORGED QUALIFICATIONS BY TEACHERS

The Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) commends the Teaching Council of Zambia for exposing the Teachers with forged qualifications.
This follows an extensive exercise that included ZAQA in determining the authenticity of qualifications held by teachers. The ZAQA Act no.13 of 2011 gives the Authority the mandate to recognise and validate qualifications in Zambia.
ZAQA therefore wishes to encourage all employers to engage the Authority in determining the authenticity of qualifications held by both current and prospective employees to ensure that qualified persons are in correct positions.
